Wayne is a two-time Carbonell Award (South Florida’s Tony) winner, and nine-time nominee, Broadway World LA nominee, and a multiple Broadway World Miami nominee.
Wayne has played leading roles in theatre around the world for 40 years. Most notably appearing as Nathan in Rags at Paper Mill Playhouse, as Lt. Schrank in West Side Story at the National Theatre of Taiwan, and in Jolson at the Winter Garden! at the El Portal Theatre in Los Angeles (opposite Mike Burstyn).
On stage, Wayne recently appeared Zoetic’s Proof, and Merrily We Roll Along, received his ninth Carbonell Nomination for Professor Callahan in Legally Blonde, and with Boca Stage in Dry Powder, Living on Love and America's Sexiest Couple by Emmy winner Ken Levine. Previously he’s appeared as Abner in 42nd ST (Maltz) directed by Jennifer Werner, originated the role of Leo in the world premiere of Wicked Child at Zoetic Stage (Carbonell Nomination Best Supporting Actor), and helped create the role of Scrooge in the world premiere production of A Christmas Carol at the Maltz Jupiter He also starred as Applegate in Damn Yankees at the Wick Theatre, in Grand Horizons at BocaStage, and in Gypsy as Mr. Goldstone/Weber and U/S Herbie, where he got to perform the role. Prior to that, he played Nathan in Warrior Class (BocaStage), and created the roles of Renfield / Dr. Westfeldt in the world premiere of Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors (Maltz, directed by Gordon Greenberg). He also starred as Bela Zangler opposite Matt Loehr in Crazy For You (Wick).

Wayne also appeared as George in Sunday in the Park With George (Caldwell), Tuesdays With Morrie (Boca Raton Theatre Guild), Into the Woods (Dream Catcher/Arsht), Spamalot (Actors’ Playhouse), Love...Perfect...Change (Plaza), Fiddler On the Roof (freeFall Theatre), Side by Side by Sondheim and The Man Who Came to Dinner (Florida Atlantic University), starred as George in Chapter Two (Plaza Theatre), played as Vershinin in Three Sisters (Miami Theatre Center), and appeared in Cabaret Verboten (Arts Garage-Carbonell nomination Best Supporting Actor). He has originated four world premieres including the title roles in Dr. Radio at Florida Stage, and Chaplin at the Shores Theatre.
